Chanukah Menorah The Wall #334
by Tamara Baskin
This fused glass menorah is made by artist Tamara Baskin. No two pieces by Tamara Baskin are ever the same colors. The Wall Menorah was one of the best selling menorahs of 2005. A work from the Tamara Baskin collection will be a welcome addition to any home for Chanukah.
The Chanukah Menorah -- or ''Chanukiah'' -- is traditionally a beautiful eight-branched candelabra with a ninth branch, the Shamash, to serve as the ''helper'' candle. The miracle of Chanukah is represented by each of the eight Menorah candles, which symbolize the eight nights of Chanukah. Lighting the Menorah for the Jewish ''Festival of Lights'' is a celebration of Jewish History, and also serves as a reminder of the seven-branched Temple Menorah, which is one of the oldest symbols of Jewish faith and the nation of Israel. In Hebrew the word ''Chanukah'' means ''dedication.'' Menorah lighting from the Tamara Baskin collection of Judaica ritual items is a tradition to be enjoyed by many families for the Jewish Holidays.
