Susie Lubell specializes in contemporary sacred art coupling vibrant watercolor imagery with powerful verse from Jewish teachings, in addition to ketubahs for wedding and anniversary celebrations and personalized watercolor prints for new babies and their siblings. Much of her work reflects the landscape and colors of Israel where she spent five years living and working after college and where she met her husband. Entirely self-taught, Susie created Mishmish Studio to showcase her unique style, which features rich color paired with folk imagery and illustration. A native of California, Susie received her BA in Psychology from UC Berkeley and her MBA from UNC Chapel Hill. Before she was an artist she was a student, a waitress, a teacher, a traveler, a grant writer, a copywriter and a marketing director. She lives in Mountain View, California with her husband, son and daughter.
