I'm a writer, educator, and designer based in San Francisco, CA. I currently teach sustainable design at the Academy of Art University and at UC Berkeley Extension. I've always created art and have studied at art and design schools in the US and the UK. While in Israel on a Dorot Fellowship, I became interested in Jewish material culture --especially colorful Judaica. I was inspired to design and write ketubot in 2003 while teaching art at Camp Ramah in Ojai, California. I love working with couples to create a creative depiction of their love and commitment that will last for generations. After four years of designing for clients and friends, my husband and I worked together in October 2007 to design our own ketubah.
