Betsy Teutsch is famous for her captivating ketubot, ceremonial objects and book illustrations. Her art in Strassfeld's classic ''The Jewish Holidays'' is widely admired, and her coauthored ''Encyclopedia of Jewish Symbols'' has become an indispensable reference for Jewish artists. For the last decade the acclaimed Reconstructionist prayerbook series ''Kol Haneshamah'' has featured her liturgical calligraphy and illumination.
Born in Fargo, ND, Betsy Teutsch currently lives in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia with her husband, David, and their children Zach and Nomi.
